The Toys animatronics and the Withered animatronics.

The toy animatronics are improved versions of the original animatronics, designed by Fazbear Entertainment to replace the withered animatronics for the re-opening of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza until November 1987. Their endoskeleton identity is Endo-02.

The toy animatronics debut in Five Nights at Freddy's 2 as the main antagonists, along with the withered animatronics.

Physical Appearance

Hence their name, their suit material appears to be made of plastic, as if they were a life-sized toy. While all models notably sport round rosy cheeks, the toy animatronics based on the original cast have bigger eyes, fully functional fingers, wedge-shaped feet, eyelashes, and facial appearances reminiscent of a ventriloquist doll.

Similar to the old withered animatronics, they share the same endoskeleton, except for the Marionette, Balloon Boy, and JJ, which is Endo-02. However, none of them are visibly seen in a damaged state.

Functionality

Among their main modifications, the toy animatronics were implemented with an advanced mobility and facial recognition systems, and supposedly walk freely during the day. They are linked to a criminal database, in order to protect children from a possible predator a mile away. The toy animatronics also have interaction towards the places through sounds.

Supposedly due to facial recognition system malfunctions caused by William in the Spring Bonnie's suit, the toy animatronics behave differently towards children and adults; they interact normally with children, while simply staring at adults. They also behave nearly aggressively towards the staff members.

Animatronics

Toy Freddy

Main article: Toy Freddy

Toy Freddy is the toy counterpart of Withered Freddy, lead vocalist, and main mascot of 1987's Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. He first appears in Five Nights at Freddy's 2 where he resides on the Show Stage, between Toy Bonnie and Toy Chica.

Toy Bonnie

Main article: Toy Bonnie

Toy Bonnie is the toy counterpart of Withered Bonnie and the guitarist of the band. He first appeared in Five Nights at Freddy's 2 where he resides on the Show Stage to the right of Toy Freddy.

Toy Chica

Main article: Toy Chica

Toy Chica is the toy counterpart of Withered Chica and the back-up singer of the band. She first appeared in Five Nights at Freddy's 2 where she resides on the Show Stage to the left of Toy Freddy. Her companion is Toy Cupcake.

Balloon Boy

Main article: Balloon Boy

Balloon Boy is a humanoid animatronic and a balloon vendor. He wants to steal your batteries, leaving the player open for Withered Foxy's attack. Balloon Boy wears a red-and-blue striped shirt and a propeller beanie. He carries a balloon as well as a sign that reads-what else?-"BALLOONS!". He first appeared in Five Nights at Freddy's 2 where he resides in the Game Area.

Jay Jay

Main article: JJ

Jay Jay is a recolored counterpart of Balloon Boy often referred as Balloon Girl from the Freddy Files. This animatronic never appears elsewhere in the game and cannot kill you. She first appeared in Five Nights at Freddy's 2, where she occasionally appears under the office desk.

The Marionette

Main article: The Puppet

The Marionette, also known as Charlotte Emily, is a toy redesign of the Security Puppet that was originally from Fredbear's Family Diner and designed to keep children at restaurant safe. She first appears in Five Nights at Freddy's 2 where it resides in the Prize Corner.

The Marionette was originally a security animatronic, designed to protect children with individual bracelets, until it was possessed by the spirit of Charlotte Emily who was the daughter of Henry Emily the company's founder. Through the Cassidy's replica in Ultimate Custom Night, this version of The Marionette is seemingly vengeful and sadistic, claiming to be very aware; despite this, the replica seemingly harbors no resentment against anyone it deems a threat (claiming they need to stay out of the way), though it does display sadistic tendencies, especially towards William in Ultimate Custom Night, such as musing at the fact that he is powerless.

It is also protective of the "Others", referring to the other children murdered by William Afton, who now possess the animatronics Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, although it also claims they are "like animals" (incapable of thinking for themselves) showing that the spirit that possess the Puppet retains it's intellect.

Trivia

  • Dee Dee's appearance shares a nearly identical design to the toy animatronics. In spite of this, Dee Dee was based on Adventure JJ, so she is part of the toys from FNaF World.
  • The Marionette and Balloon Boy are the only animatronics that may have not originally belonged to the toy lineup. The Marionette's origins are shown to be from Fredbear's Family Diner, under a slightly different appearance, and Balloon Boy's nightmare counterpart, Nightmare Balloon Boy, is confirmed to be canon to the gameplay of Five Nights at Freddy's 4.
    • They are also coincidentally are the only "toy" animatronics to receive several counterparts.
    • They are also the only toy animatronics that appear in the book universe. Balloon Boy appeared in the novel trilogy and the Fazbear Frights series, while The Marionette appears in the Fazbear Frights series but only appears in the epilogue of Fazbear Frights: The Cliffs, and What We Found, the third story of Fazbear Frights: Gumdrop Angel.
  • Phone Guy mentions that before the withered animatronics were replaced, they were implemented with the same technology and functionality as the toys, however their retrofits were left unfinished making them bare some similarities.
    • The toys and withereds almost have the same functionality, however there is a slight difference with facial recognition. Just like the toys, Withered Freddy, Withered Bonnie, and Withered Chica get fooled by the Freddy Fazbear Head very easily. Withered Foxy on the other hand has somewhat of a difference when it comes to facial recognition. He can easily identify a person correctly and cannot be fooled by the mask. However, he is not used to bright lights, specifically the flashlight being one example of a bright light. This probably shows that Withered Foxy's facial recognition was probably left half-unfinished considering the fact that his recognition is not suitable enough to handle bright lights.
  • JJ is never clearly seen in the pizzeria, apart from under the table in the office. It's implied that she is just a hallucination, and this is evidenced by how she is not seen at the Game Area like Balloon Boy.
    • But despite this, she could still be off-camera somewhere
  • While commonly believed to be a part of the set, Mangle is actually not a Toy Animatronic, and is instead a part of the Funtime Animatronic lineup.
  • While the Toy animatronics aren't confirmed to be possessed by anyone, excluding the Puppet, There are still some theories regarding it.
    • Some believe that they are indirectly possessed through agony from parts of the Withered Animatronics, causing them to appear possessed.
    • There's also the theory of the Toys being possessed by the SAVE THEM victims, although this would not apply to the first few nights of gameplay
